Thanks for staying on my time machine with me! Today, let’s travel back to November 10, 2018. November: that enchanting time of year when the air is crisp and clean; leaves crunch beneath our feet; and Amy and Chris were married.

These nuptials featured all of my favorite things starting with the letter B: a bride, boutonnieres, bow ties, bling, and brews. Amy and Chris are craft beer fans, and I simply adore how they were able to work their mutual appreciation into both their wedding preparations and their reception.  Chris looks so excited and handsome clutching onto his beer as he slips into his blue suit— and like a proud dad as he helps his son with his bowtie. I also have to admit, I am obsessed with how sparkly Amy was on her day; she looks absolutely radiant, doesn’t she, and her shawl was the perfect add on for a November wedding. Amy and Chris opted to do a first look, and Chris definitely agrees. I felt privileged to be able to capture their quiet moments on the balcony prior to the festivities.

The ceremony and reception was held at Oak and Velvet. This venue has loads of natural light, exposed brick, and distressed hardwood floors that perfectly accentuated their hip-but-elegant sense of style. The light in this venue is absolutely heavenly. As I reflect on the post-ceremony portraits, I am just overcome by how happy everyone is. The best part of being a lifestyle photographer is capturing genuine smiles and private moments that can now last lifetimes.

After some classy pictures and some heartfelt speeches, it was time to party the night away! I might have even caught Amy double fisting her beer…. Oops! German pretzels were devoured; a variety of Cupcakes by Kate were savored; and all enjoyed fun libations from the bar. Congratulations, Amy and Chris! ( even if it’s a year late) 😉
