Welcome to the world, little Bowen! Bowen Reza Benvenuto arrived on February 9th at 8:30pm, clocking in at 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and 20 inches long. Mom Nazaneen, Dad Anthony, Big Brother Hayden, and Big Sister Shea (the latter three you may remember from Hayden’s first birthday pictures!) are overjoyed with the latest addition to their posse. In fact, when Hayden and Bowen met for the first time, Hayden exclaimed “Baby!” and gave his little brother a smooch. I think their adorable shirts are correct: they really did just become best friends. (Not to be outdone, Shea is also always trying to sneak in a kiss… or three.)

Bowen’s unique, lovely name comes from a few different sources: his daddy is a huge sports fan—I just adore the vintage Mets props in this session, don’t you?— and so his first name was inspired by one of Anthony’s favorite hockey players. Bowen’s middle name, Reza, is Persian, and was named after Nazaneen’s father. Nazaneen and Anthony kept their names secret from everyone, and when her dad met his namesake, he teared up! This family is just so sweetly loving.

Bowen was extremely snuggly throughout this session, especially in his soft hooded romper. He was also a bit sleepy: just look at that big yawn! Bowen and Hayden are of Persian, Polish, and Italian descent, and mom says that Hayden is all daddy and Bowen is all mommy. Either way, this family is gorgeous!

Mom, Dad, big brother, and even big sister look so proud of their growing family. ( I have been so lucky to have been able to capture both these babies milestones. ) I was so touched by the portraits of Nazaneen and Bowen; this boy has entered into a home where he will be cherished by all who enter. I am so so happy to meet you, Bowen, and look forward to watching you grow your first year.
