What a fun and festive fall photoshoot I just had with Becca, Mike, Morgan, and Michael (with a guest appearance from Grandma)! I was so happy to work with another one of my “frequent-flier” families. Becca and Mike found me by chance a little over a year ago when they asked me to capture Morgan’s precious newborn photos, and I am so glad they did. And does anyone remember Morgan’s perfectly Irish-themed first birthday party?! So, when they asked me to take another round of fall portraits with them I, of course, jumped at the chance.
The colors in Connecticut at this time of year are ideal for a family session. The almost-fully-changed leaves on the trees complement the coordinating colors this family is wearing. (And I just love Becca’s pop of color!) I was also able to snap some precious family moments, like the one of Michael and Morgan holding hands, which, as we know was a pretty rare occurrence for this session. And, the images of the foursome overlooking the water as the sun sets are absolutely breathing— if I do say so myself!
Fun Fact: The newborn images of Morgan I mentioned earlier? That was the beginning of my focus on lifestyle photography, and I have never looked back. I’m so in love with capturing connections and the essence of your family as you are. The images from a lifestyle session are raw and real, and exactly where my photography passion stems from. Becca and Mike demonstrate perfectly how what seems to be a chaotic session is truly an amazing session. Their ability to let their hair down together shows just how much this family loves each other.
