Eliana Kay ( Kay, after her great grandmother ) was born 4:04am on March 25, 2017. Arriving 2 weeks early she still embraced the world with all 10lb 4 oz of her, and 22.5 inches long. She was born at Manchester Memorial Hospital, with the amazing help from the midwives at With Women Wellness out of East Hartford, Connecticut.
A new baby is always such an incredible gift and a fresh 48 session is as close as you can get to those intimate first hours of a baby’s life, aside from birth photography. Everyone knows how much I love lifestyle photography and these sessions are the ultimate form of just that. Remembering every detail, from the swirl on the back of her head, to the rare moments where she first catches a glimpse of her mom and dad and that forever bond is established. This session holds an extra special place in my heart as this birth made me an Aunt for the first time. The time has finally arrived where I can purchase, pianos and microphones for E to bring home to play and sing wonderful music at 7 am in the morning to her parents ;). The birth of Eliana has also made my daughter ecstatic to be a cousin, and she has already begun thinking up all the adventures they will embark on together.
Eliana has been showered with love since she was in the womb and since she has arrived that love has only doubled in size and I can only imagine it growing. She already has an amazing support system and the best ‘framily’ a little girl could ask for. It’s amazing to see first time parents fall so easily into their roles of mom and dad, like they were born for this one moment. I’ve never seen Cody and Lauren take to something so effortlessly. I cannot wait to watch and capture this little one grow up through life.
