Kate and Chris have fallen FORE!!! (see what I did there, I crack myself up sometimes) each other and so they are tying the knot!
I am pretty obsessed with the meaning behind this engagement session location. Kate and Chris were golfing on the quiet greeneries of River Ridge Golf Course with their best friends, Lauren and Pat— who regular followers will remember from this very blog— when Chris had a surprise for Kate at the eighteenth hole. He got down on one knee; their family and friends popped out from their hiding places in the bushes; and she said yes! Their ceremony will be on May 17, 2019 at the lush Lake of Isles.
These two have known each other since 2014 because Chris is a close friend of Kate’s brother. However, when they first met, the timing just wasn’t right yet. It wasn’t until 2016, when both of them were unattached, they realized there was something more than friendship between them. And, I hope you agree, these images show just how in love this couple is. They were all smiles and kisses (even some sneaky Eskimo ones) during this “play”-ful session. Everything happens for a reason right?
The crazy thing about this session is literally on my way down there, it poured. And I don’t mean typical CT rainstorm. I mean, ring your shirt out, empty your boots poured. I don’t know how, but somehow by the time I got there, there was a tiny glow in the sky and we still managed the most gorgeous golden light photos ever. And anyone who knows me, knows I will chase those things down.
The lovebirds looked especially adorable whizzing around the course in a golf cart. Obviously, I made them take me along 😉
I had so much fun working with Kate and Chris, and I just can’t wait until May to see them again. Bring it on 2019!
