Those cheeks! That dress! I couldn’t have asked for a better session with Erica, Alex, and 6 month old Hunter.
We chose historic Elizabeth Park (fun fact: it is America’s oldest rose garden!) for this photoshoot, and I think it was an ideal choice. The beauty of this park perfectly complemented the beauty of this little family. Mom absolutely glows in all of these pictures, and Dad looks devoted and proud… despite heading out a tad earlier than I normally would, we made it work, and they came out beautifully, the last few photos have that golden light that I love so much, along with the lens flare ( insert all the heart eyes)
We started with some shots on a bench underneath an awning, thankfully providing some much needed shade during this unseasonably hot New England summer. Hunter was an absolute doll and even let Mom and Dad get in a couple of smooches! He spent the first half mean mugging for the camera but it wasn’t long till he gave in. 😉
Then, we moved over to an open field area. I loved capturing Erica, Alex, and Hunter amongst the beautiful blossoms. The shot with Mom and Dad’s heads pressed together is one of my favorites from this session; I can just feel Erica and Alex’s love for one another.
Hunter finally graced the camera with a few smiles by the time we got to the rock garden. Dad had fun helping Hunter support himself… and then had more fun later carrying Hunter on his shoulders.
We ended our session with some sweet, soft images in the rosebushes. Hunter was entranced by the flowers, and Erica just looks gorgeous. The trio shared a private joke together, and I was so happy to capture these sweet memories.
